Battery safe: Our National Battery Collection and Recycling Service

Safe and Convenient Battery Recycling with AA Waste

At AA Waste Solutions, we proudly offer our Battery Safe service, a comprehensive national battery collection and recycling service. Operating throughout the year, we extend our services to companies and authorities across England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland. With our Battery Safe service, our primary focus is on recycling batteries rather than sending them to landfill, as we strongly believe that batteries are valuable recyclable items.

Our team of experts ensures the safe collection of spent batteries from various locations, transporting them to fully licensed recycling centres. We have established partnerships with businesses equipped with advanced, state-of-the-art equipment and cutting-edge British technology, enabling us to recycle batteries responsibly and efficiently.

Battery Safe Containers

Our Batterysafe BS20 service is designed to cater to the needs of offices, schools, and small manufacturing sites. This all-in-one solution offers safe storage, transportation, and recycling of domestic-type batteries commonly found in small portable appliances, such as alkaline, ni-cad, zinc, and others.

With our BS20 service, a specially designed container will be delivered to your site, and it will be collected when full with no time limit. Our transparent pricing includes the consignment note and recycling services. The BS20 container has a 20-litre capacity, allowing it to hold up to 50 kg of mixed batteries.

For sites that use large batteries or have a higher-than-average usage of smaller batteries, our Batterysafe BS750 service is the ideal solution. The BS750 container is suitable for storing mixed dry cell batteries or lead-acid wet cell batteries; however, it is important to keep these battery types separate and not mix them together. If you need to store both types of batteries until you are ready for recycling, it may be cost-effective to have two containers. The BS750 container has an impressive 600-litre capacity, allowing it to hold up to 750 kg of mixed batteries.

To request a quotation for the Batterysafe BS750 service, please fill out our "Get a Quotation" page and mention "BS750 Batterysafe" in the description field. We will provide you with a detailed quotation via email, tailored to your specific requirements.

*Please note that lithium cells or button cell-type batteries cannot be accepted in the above-mentioned containers. If you have these types of batteries, please contact us for an alternative quotation. Additionally, if mixed (dry and wet cell) batteries have been placed in the BS750 container, a higher charge will apply to cover additional segregation. Lastly, it is essential to remove all lead wires from batteries, and any damaged or leaking batteries must be securely stored in strong, sealed plastic bags.*

Types of Batteries We Remove:

At AA Waste Solutions, we are committed to protecting the environment through responsible battery disposal. We offer safe and sustainable disposal services for four main battery types:

From household remotes to portable devices, alkaline batteries power a wide array of products. Trust us to handle their disposal responsibly, ensuring hazardous materials are managed appropriately.

Found in smartphones, laptops, and other gadgets, lithium-ion batteries require careful handling due to their reactivity. Our experts ensure these batteries are disposed of safely and efficiently.

Commonly used in cameras and other electronic devices, NiMH batteries are recyclable. We take care to recycle them responsibly, reducing their environmental impact.

Often used in vehicles and industrial settings, lead-acid batteries require special attention due to their hazardous components. Our disposal procedures comply with strict regulations to minimise any adverse environmental effects.
